“The best news of the Christian gospel is that the supremely glorious Creator of the universe has acted in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection to remove every obstacle between us and Himself so that we may find everlasting joy in seeing and savoring His infinite beauty.” – John Piper

Hello Dear Friend,
Maybe you were that little kid who went to Sunday school every week to hear a Bible story but stories is all they ever were. Maybe you prayed the Salvation prayer when you were younger but you've since turned and walked a different path. Maybe you are a wanderer that's always wondered but you haven't found anyone who can answer your questions. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones and your faith and belief have never wavered.
No matter what your story is I can almost guarantee that each of you either in the past or present has questioned your value. You wonder if you can ever measure up to the expectations. Whether its in your job, a relationship, your friendships, family, your talents, or even your own inner prison - you question if your worthy enough, if your good enough, if your value is enough. I can say all this with complete certainty because I too, have found myself there questioning how valuable I actually am.
Wherever these words are finding you today, as Holy Week begins I want you to take a moment and ponder how valuable your soul must be that Satan, the Prince of darkness, is in tireless pursuit over it and that Jesus, the King of kings, willingly lay down His life for it. Whether you are a believer or an nonbeliever searching for the truth, the next time you question if you're enough know this...
You are an irreplaceable human being with such a valuable soul that both Heaven and Hell are fighting over you.
Hear me when I say, no matter which road you take and wherever your journey leads you until the time comes for you to draw in your last breath there will be a never ending epic battle between Spiritual realms for your soul. Neither Heaven or Hell is willing to give you up or sees you as a lost cause, neither side will stop fighting for you - that's what your soul is worth.
I don't know if you needed this reminder today or maybe you're someone who needed to hear these words for the first time. You matter, your soul matters. So the next time you feel low and unworthy, the next time you doubt who you are and who you are becoming, and the next time you feel less than valuable remember the truth.
Never forget that there is only One who was willing to die for your soul. There's no place Jesus won't go to get to you and for that, He's been given all authority on Heaven and everything beneath it. He was crucified and died a criminals death, His blood paid for your debt. He was buried and raised to life again. He went down to the gates of Hell to say that "It's finished!", rubbing the Lord's victory in Satan's face. There's no place that's off limits to Jesus. Nails couldn't keep Him on the cross, the grave couldn't hold Him, and even though Hell didn't want Him, Satan couldn't keep the Son of God out. Jesus died, rose again, and ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for you. He's seated on the throne beside the Father, praying and interceding for you. That is the length and depth that Jesus willingly went through because that is the value of your soul.
So whether you're a prodigal son that needs to come home, a daughter plagued with demons and in need of deliverance, a boy willing to give up his lunch to help feed thousands, a rebel, an outcast, a vagabond, or someone else entirely there's one thing we all have in common. Our sins have made us dirtier than we want anyone to know but forgiveness is waiting. Freedom is waiting. Healing is waiting. Jesus is waiting. The Kingdom is waiting.
Come to the alter, Jesus is there with arms open wide to embrace you. If you're coming back to the Father or receiving forgiveness for the first time Heaven's gates are open for you. The Savior's hands are reaching out to you.
Heavenly Father, I come before You today recognizing that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He willingly died on the cross to pay for my sins so that I could have eternal life. I believe that He rose again on the third day and is now seated beside You in Heaven. Today, I ask for Your forgiveness for all the things I've done in the past and for all the sins that I've committed and I invite Jesus to come into my heart and to be my Lord and my Savior. Cleanse me, renew me, and guide me in Your truth. From this day forward, I choose to follow You and to live for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you just made a decision to pray that prayer of salvation, asked to be forgiven and chose to surrender your life to God, know that Heaven is rejoicing over you right now! Welcome to the family!
With love,
